Description:
This 2012 Ford Mustang Boss 302 is #014 of approximately 767 Laguna
Seca coupes produced for the model year. Finished in black over
Charcoal Black cloth, it is powered by a 5.0-liter V8 linked with a
six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential.
Modifications include an Airaid air intake, an MRT axle-back
exhaust, an SCT ECU calibration, an aftermarket driveshaft safety
loop and Watts link, a Tiger Racing carbon-fiber hood, and a roll
bar. The car is further equipped with adjustable dampers, Brembo
front brakes, 19? alloy wheels, air conditioning, Recaro front
seats, a rear seat delete, and a CD stereo.
Interior:
The manually adjustable Recaro bucket seats are trimmed in Charcoal
Black cloth with "Boss 302" embroidery on the backrests.
Engine-turned trim accents the dashboard, and additional
appointments include an aftermarket roll bar with an integrated
harness bar, a custom shift knob, a shifter kit, TracKey, air
conditioning, a CD stereo, and a tubular X-brace in lieu of rear
seats.
The Alcantara-wrapped multifunction steering wheel frames a 180-mph
speedometer and a tachometer with a 7,500-rpm redline. Auxiliary
gauges for oil pressure, coolant temperature, and configurable
performance statistics are housed in a pod atop the dashboard.
Exterior:
The body is finished in black and features red reverse C-stripe
graphics as well as red accents on the grille, roof panel, mirror
caps, and rear spoiler. Equipment includes a front splitter, a Boss
302-specific front fascia, a blacked-out grille with blocked-off
driving light openings, a Tiger Racing carbon-fiber hood, a Laguna
Seca-specific rear badge, and a quad-exit exhaust system with both
side and rear outlets. The 19? 10-spoke alloy wheels are mounted
withPirelli P Zero Corsa tires. The Laguna Seca Edition featured
stiffer manually adjustable shocks with model-specific springs, and
the selling dealer notes that a Fays2 Watts link rear suspension
system was installed. Antilock braking is handled by four-wheel
discs featuring Brembo front calipers over ventilated rotors.
Drivetrain:
The 5.0-liter Road Runner V8 features a forged rotating assembly,
CNC ported cylinder heads, revised factory camshafts, an Airaid
Parnelli Jones air intake and filter, an MRT axle-back exhaust
system, and an SCT ECU calibration. A plaque affixed to the intake
manifold is etched with the car's VIN as well as the Laguna Seca
edition serial number #014. Power is sent to the rear wheels
through a six-speed manual transmission and a Torsen limited-slip
differential with 3.73:1 gearing. An aftermarket lightweight
driveshaft.
