Gateway Classic Cars Tampa Showroom is honored to digitally present
this custom 1965 Ford Mustang Coupe. The Ford Mustang was the car
that single handedly turned the automotive world upside down. It
may have been dubbed a, "Secretary's Car," by Carrol Shelby, but
nonetheless, sales soared and the American Pony Car was born.
Without question, no other American made car has been through more
transformations than the Mustang. In years past, the coupe was
simply ignored, but with skyrocketing Fastback prices they are now
more appealing. The owner/consignor states this Pony is powered by
a 347ci stroker topped with AFR aluminum cylinder heads and a
Brawler carb. A March serpentine pulley system, aluminum radiator
w/electric fan, Wildwood master cylinder, and a strut tower brace
are just a few things the trained eye will spot. There's a remote
on the key chain, but that doesn't open the doors...it opens the
exhaust so everyone can enjoy the cam chop symphony. "Does it have
A/C," is the question we get the most and just in case you're
wondering....yes it does. The exterior blue paint is beautiful in
the sun, but not without a few scuffs and scratches here and there.
And lets face it, the body gaps on these never were good but the
hood could use a little adjusting. Overall, this is a solid, strong
running, little Pony that's ready to go.
