This 1988 Chevy Suburban Silverado 1500 is a super nice, super
clean, very very well cared for squarebody that has been owned by
the same person for the last 30 years. You don't find them as nice
as this too often. This Suburban was his pride and joy and went
through a body on restoration both mechanically and cosmetically.
Since completed it has not been driven very much and it is in
beautiful condition. We have many receipts for the work that was
done to this rig and it is dialed in nice and done right. As stated
earlier, the body on this Suburban is super clean and straight. The
original colors were Charcoal Gray and Red, but it was
professionally repainted in its current color of red and the paint
looks fantastic. It received all new body moldings at that time.
The original chrome bumpers are excellent. The underside is also in
beautiful condition and you cans still see primer on the floors. We
fond no rust issues with this vehicle.
The interior is also excellent. It was totally redone a few years
ago. The first thing they did is remove the interior and apply
sound deadning to the whole inside. All 3 rows of seats were
professionally reupholstered. They added new carpet, new
headliner, new dash bezel, new door seals, and new weatherstripping.
The dash and door panels are original and nice. The headlights,
taillights, brakelights, and turn signals are all working. The
gauges all work. This vehicle has tilt wheel and working cruise
control. It has working power windows and power locks. The horn and
windshield wipers work. The heat and AC work with the AC being
completely redone with all new parts and charged recently. The
stock stereo has been replaced a a nice aftermarket unit with
flip-out screen.
Mechanically this Suburban is amazing and it runs and drives
awesome. The last owner who restored this vehicle and owned it for
30 years did a ton of mechanical work to this rig to make it fresh.
He rarely drove it when it was completed because he had so many
toys. The engine is a GM Goodwrench Performance 5.7L 350 V8 TBI
Crate motor that has around 5,000 miles on it. We do have the
receipt. It had all components added to it like alternator,
starter, power steering pump, distributor, belts, hoses, TBI unit,
fuel pump, radiator, and dual Flowmaster exhaust. It runs
excellent!!! The transmission is a completely rebuilt 700R4
Automatic that shifts great. It has a mild shift kit, HD clutches,
new torque converter, and HD transmission cooler and fan. It is
mated to the np241 transfer case that was also rebuilt and
resealed. The 4WD works like it should. We did not get receipts for
the transmission and transfer case because his friend who owned a
tranny shop did that for him. It has a 10 Bolt rear axle with 3.73
gears that was rebuilt. It has a 10 Bolt front axle with 3.73 gears
that was rebuilt. All 6 shocks were replaced...this has the 4 front
shock setup from the factory. The brake system was also completely
redone with new master cylinder, new front calipers, new pads, and
new rotors. The rear brakes were converted to disc brakes and are
all new as well.
We drive what we sell so that we can give you a first hand and
accurate report on how the vehicle runs and drives. Our pictures
are never touched up or photoshopped. What you see is an accurate
representation of the vehicle. We take consistent pictures and show
you everything so you can get a true representation of the
vehicle.
