This 1958 Bentley S1 Saloon is right-hand-drive with its original
4.9L inline-six engine, four speed automatic and presents in
overall good condition. The Bentley S1 is finished in a two-tone
blue and green with a tan interior complemented by beautiful chrome
brightwork. The Bentley had both the transmission and brakes
rebuilt in 2020. The Bentley is best suited as a driver-level car
with strong originality that will be great for weekend drives and
local touring. Chassis B620FA was built in June 1958 and delivered
new in the UK, originally finished in Sage over Smoke Greens. The
Bentleyretainsits original engine, BF310, andtheknown early
ownership historyofEdward Prime under registration VLB 116. The
exterior of this Bentley S1 is in overall fair condition, finished
in Smokey Blue over Velvet Green with tan pinstriping. The
brightwork is in great condition and exterior trim is in good
condition. The Bentley has headlights, fog lamps, and parking lamps
that are all in good working condition. The whitewall tires were
replaced in 2024 and 2025. The interior of this Bentley is a
classic and lovely color combination from the walnut burl
dashboard, beige Connolly leather and tan wool carpeting. The
interior of the Bentley is in overall good condition. The beige
Connolly leather seats are showing age and wear from normal use
with the driver's seat having the most wear as expected. The walnut
burl dashboard is in good condition and has a lovely grain pattern
throughout paired with the crossband. The woodwork extends to the
front picnic table and the two rear picnic tables that are in good
condition. The Bentley has Smiths gauges including temperature,
amperage, oil pressure, fuel, and speedometer all in good working
condition. The odometer does not currently work. An aftermarket
Panasonic AM/FM/CD radio has been installed. This Bentley has the
4/9 liter inline six engine paired with the four speed GM
Hydramatic automation transmission. The Bentley has twin SU
carburetors, power steering, and servo-assisted, four-wheel
hydraulic drum brakes. The service records for the Bentley show
$10,000 of work completed in 2019 and 2020. In 2019, the
transmission was removed and overhauled, including servicing the
torque converter, bands, and internal components. In 2020, the
braking system was extensively rebuilt, including the servo, master
cylinder, wheel cylinders, brake hoses and brake linings. The
generator was replaced. The exhaust system had the rear muffler,
tailpipe, hangers, and rear manifold replaced. This is a Bentley is
good mechanical condition ready to be enjoyed for weekend cruises.
