This 2016 Mustang GT Performance Pack isn't some bolt-on Instagram
build pretending to be fast. This thing is a full-blown street
predator built with one mission-hurt feelings and disappear into
the horizon doing it.
Under the hood sits a built-out 5.0 Coyote that's been force-fed
with a D1X ProCharger Stage II, backed by Comp Stage II blower
cams, ported heads, Holley Sniper intake, Boundary oil pump gears,
MMR timing components, and ARP hardware throughout. Lund Racing
handled the tune on 93 pump gas, and the result is absolutely
violent-797 horsepower to the wheels. It also has a race gas tune
loaded and ready, though it's never even needed it. This thing
already lives in kill mode.
The soundtrack is pure mechanical aggression thanks to Stainless
Works long tubes, high-flow cats, uncatted X-pipe, and a Borla
GT350 ATAK exhaust screaming through the GT350 rear valance. It
doesn't idle quietly. It announces war.
Backing the boosted Coyote is the MT82 6-speed with a McLeod RXT
twin-disc clutch, Steeda Tri-Ax short shifter, DSS carbon
driveshaft, DSS 1200hp axles, and a Torsen differential with 3.55
gears. Every weak link got eliminated.
The suspension setup is just as serious. Steeda pretty much touched
every corner of this car-adjustable shocks, springs, sway bars,
control arms, traction kit, caster/camber setup, bushings-the whole
deal. Wilwood brakes clamp down on massive 2-piece rotors while
bronze Ferrada forged wheels wrapped in drag radials give this
thing the stance of a street-built assassin. It also comes with a
second set of lightweight Velgan wheels wearing street tires.
Visually, it looks like it escaped from a SEMA afterparty and went
straight to the streets. RTR carbon side skirts, APR carbon
splitter and canards, Roush carbon hood vents, Euro taillights,
GT500 carbon spoiler with wicker bill-it's all aggressive without
crossing into cartoon territory.
Inside, the vibe stays lethal. Black leather with red stitching,
GT500 carbon dash and door trim, GT350R Alcantara/carbon steering
wheel, harness bar, rear seat delete, and a custom audio setup that
hits just as hard as the blower does. Diamond Audio amps and subs,
Hertz front stage, Audison processor-this thing sounds insane
standing still and even crazier at full throttle.
And this Mustang didn't spend its life hidden in a garage under a
cover. It ran the 2018 Hot Rod Power Tour East Coast, became a
featured booth car for Audio One in 2021, and represented JLT
Performance in 2022.
This isn't a Mustang you buy because you "always wanted one."
This is the Mustang you buy when stock stopped being enough a long
time ago.
