For Sale: 1969 Shelby GT350 in Cape Girardeau , Missouri

Vehicle Description

This 1969 Shelby GT350 was used by Shelby Engineering as an engineering test bed for a potential electronic fuel injection (EFI) option being considered by Shelby. One of only 18 Shelbys known to have fuel injection installed (the likes of which include the famous Green Hornet and Little Red). This rare Shelby was assigned to Shelby Chief Engineer Fred Goodell for development of a planned fuel-injection option for the 1970 model year. Equipped with an experimental designation "XE" 351 CI Cleveland V-8 engine believed to have been installed by Shelby engineering, this ultra-rare Shelby is documented in the SAAC registry, copies of the Shelby Engineering vehicle inventory showing the VIN number and use as well as a copy of the original factory build sheet and a Deluxe Marti report. A truly one-of-kind piece of Shelby history, it’s also one of only a handful of 1969-1970 Shelbys to receive a factory-installed Cougar XR-7 dash.
