Gateway Classic Cars of Las Vegas digitally presents this 1974
International Scout II.
Built to conquer both the trail and the street, this 1974
International Scout II is a purpose-built machine that blends
classic 4x4 style with modern upgrades. Every component has been
carefully selected to with a purpose in mind.
Power comes from a 6.0L V8, paired with a 4L80E 4-speed automatic
transmission for smooth, reliable operation. An Atlas II transfer
case provides unbeatable low-range gearing, giving you precise
control when navigating technical terrain.
This Scout sits on a serious heavy-duty drivetrain. Up front, a
Dana 60 with 5.38 gears, Yukon Zip Locker, and Yukon chromoly axle
shafts ensures maximum strength and traction. Out back, a GM
14-bolt axle with matching 5.38 gears, ARB Air Locker, and Yukon
chromoly shafts delivers bulletproof reliability. Reinforced with
Artec trusses, this setup is built to handle extreme abuse without
compromise.
The steering system has been fully upgraded for confidence on and
off the trail, featuring a PSC steering box, pump, and hydraulic
assist ram, paired with 7075 aluminum tie rod and drag link, and
D&C Extreme double-shear steering arms for precision and
durability.
When it comes to recovery and reliability, this Scout is fully
equipped. A Warn Zeon 12-S winch stands ready for tough situations,
supported by an Optima YellowTop battery. Tom Wood's 1350 CV
drivelines ensure smooth power delivery, while a Griffin aluminum
radiator keeps temperatures in check even under heavy load.
Inside, the build continues with a blend of function and style. A
full D&C Customs cage provides added safety, complemented by
Corbeau seats for comfort and support. Unique plaid door panels add
character, while a Winters Sidewinder shifter delivers a
race-inspired feel. Auto Meter gauges keep you informed, and a
Softopper top offers versatility for open-air or enclosed
driving.
With its iconic Scout II styling, extensive upgrades, and build
quality, this rig is ready for serious off-road action while still
turning heads wherever it goes. Whether you're hitting the rocks,
trails, or just cruising, this Scout is built to perform at every
level.
