When defining the quintessential hot rod, it's hard to argue with
this 1932 Ford Convertible, a car so beloved by gearheads that it
inspired the iconic Beach Boys to write their song Little Deuce
Coupe to commemorate this car's legendary status. With just 4,507
miles on it since it was built, this full fiberglass-bodied hot rod
was built by Timeless Rods to the tune of more than 22K. Fully
repainted in yellow, this drop-top is a true convertible, with a
folding top and roll-up windows; this car carries all the charisma
of that iconic album-cover car.
Inside, we find a plush, inviting black leather interior. A
banjo-style tilt steering column with a tilt banjo-style steering
wheel sits ahead of a six-pod gauge cluster. A custom HVAC setup
comes complete with air conditioning, while a Bluetooth-enabled
AM/FM/AUX head unit is located behind the seat.
Under that steel hood of this classic hot rod, we find a 350
cubic-inch V-8. Topped with an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor and
matching Edelbrock intake manifold, spent gases are expelled via
shorty headers and chambered dual exhaust. That power is routed
through a 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission before heading
out to the 3.50-geared 9-inch rear end that transfers those ponies
to the pavement via a set of trick American Racing wheels.
