1946 Ford Sedan Hot Rod - Big Block 454 - TH400 Automatic - Custom
Metallic Blue - Power Features
Offered here is a beautifully built 1946 Ford Sedan hot rod
finished in a stunning metallic cobalt blue that absolutely pops in
any lighting. The paint is tastefully accented with light blue and
white pinstriping, giving the car a classic custom look that fits
the era perfectly. The body has been smoothed with shaved door
handles, and features modern touches like a hidden trunk popper
integrated into the gas filler door.
This car sits right on a set of American Racing Torque Thrust
wheels wrapped in BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires that show great tread
with no dry rot, giving it a timeless hot rod stance. The paint
presents extremely well overall, with only a couple small cracks in
the rear fenders noted.
Inside, the car features a custom silver leather and grey suede
bucket seat interior that blends comfort with style. It's equipped
with power windows controlled both from the center console and key
fob, along with a Pioneer touchscreen head unit and Pioneer
speakers for modern audio. The dash is cleanly laid out with a full
set of gauges including speedometer, tachometer, vacuum, voltage,
fuel, temperature, and oil pressure, all easily visible. A Grant GT
steering wheel with tilt column adds to the driving comfort. The
car also features power seats, though only partially
functional.
Under the hood sits a strong 454ci Chevy big block V8, equipped
with a 4-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock intake, and chrome dress-up
kit, delivering serious power and a great look. It is paired with a
TH400 automatic transmission, a proven and durable setup ideal for
both cruising and performance. The car also features power
steering, power brakes, A/C setup, and electric cooling fans for
reliability and drivability. Out back is a 10-bolt rear end, with
front disc and rear drum brakes handling stopping duties.
This hot rod runs and drives great and offers a perfect balance of
classic style and modern convenience. It's a very nice
driver-quality build that could easily be taken to the next level
for shows with minimal effort.
