By 1969, Pontiac's GTO had matured from the spark that ignited the
muscle-car era into a fully developed performance line. The Ram Air
III occupied the sweet spot: more tractable and street-able than
the race-bred Ram Air IV, yet packing genuine performance hardware
and factory-rated power that embarrassed plenty of big-block
rivals. The marketing masterstroke was The Judge, launched in
eye-searing Carousel Red with stripes and spoiler, making the Ram
Air hardware highly visible in showrooms. The Judge name mirrored
the pop-culture catchphrase "Here comes the judge," while the
engineering beneath it-especially in Ram Air III form-remained
fundamentally serious.??
Still today, you can hear car enthusiasts proclaim "Here comes the
Judge!" at cruise-ins & car show across the the world. The Pontiac
GTO is one the most popular in the Muscle Car line-up for Owners &
Collectors. This 1969 GTO Judge has been fully restored and painted
back in it's original "Midnight Green", a Deep rich green with the
Ram Air Hood Scoops, Rear Deck Spoiler & "Yellow-Green-White Judge
Decals". This Car catches the eye and stands out from the crowd.
??
Under the Hood is the original 366HP 400ci V8. The Ram Air III was
Pontiac's 6.6-liter V8 tuned for real-world speed. It features it's
high-compression D-port cylinder heads, a Rochester Quadrajet
four-barrel, free-flow "Ram Air" cast-iron exhaust manifolds, and a
functional cold-air induction system (Pull Switch inside under the
dash panel). The Underside is fully restored, with Ceramic Coasted
headers & Exhaust. Features Power Steering & Front Powered Disc
Brakes. ??
This Interior is a mix of classic styling with a few modern
upgrades to make the ride a little more comfortable. The Seating is
the most noticeable with being a complete custom leather upgrade.
Originally, this GTO had a Green Interior .. Now it's a Tan/Light
Sand Leather Designed Interior with the Modern 2004-series GTO Logo
stitched into the Headrest. The Dash Has the original gauges with
the Hood-Mounted RPM Tach & Dash Ralley Clock (Still Functional),
along with the Heat/Defrost Controls. The Best part is controlling
the powered of the 400ci V8 with a T-Bar Handle Hurst 4-Speed
Shifter! ??
A few side notes ... The Owner has owned, restored & enjoyed this
GTO for the past 15yrs. The Exterior has a few small crack in the
front Headlight/Nose Piece, there is a surface scratch on the left
side of the spoiler, the wheel & lower side body molding trim has a
few small dents, and the Interior armrest is broken from the Center
Console. Please see close-up photo in gallery)
