GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this 1994 Ford Mustang GT
Indy 500 Festival Pace Car Convertible for your consideration. This
Mustang comes finished in Rio Red over a clean Tan interior.
Powering this vehicle is the legendary 5.0L V8 paired with an
automatic transmission. Showing just 21,809 miles, this low-mile
example remains bone stock and is accompanied by a clean Carfax,
making it a highly desirable collector piece. This particular
vehicle is Festival Car #29 of just 107 used during the Indy 500
festivities and was piloted by John Long, the festival president,
while also carrying one of the Purdue festival beauty queens.
Notably, this is one of the actual cars used on the track and
during pre-festival events, adding to its provenance and rarity,
while Ford only produced 1,000 pace car replicas for the public.
Features include a powered convertible top, Duraflex CVX tonneau
cover boot, rack and pinion power steering, full lightweight
exhaust, factory AM/FM/cassette player, power windows, power locks,
dual airbags, water temperature and oil pressure gauges, factory
roll bar, Mach 460 sound system, intermittent wipers, and more.
Drive this one out of our showroom or have us assist with shipping
it to you anywhere in the United States! Don't hesitate to call us
with any questions or for more information.
The 1994 Ford Mustang marked the debut of the fourth generation,
known as the SN-95 platform, which brought a more modern design and
improved handling while retaining the Mustang's iconic heritage.
That same year, the Mustang GT was selected as the pace car for the
Indianapolis 500, celebrating the model's performance legacy.
Special pace car editions and festival vehicles became highly
collectible, especially those with documented participation in the
actual event. With updated styling, improved suspension, and the
continuation of the beloved 5.0L V8, the 1994 Mustang GT helped
usher the model into a new era while honoring its performance
roots.
