Highlights
History
Introduced by Land Rover as the 110 in 1984 and renamed the Defender 110 in 1990, the model remained in continuous production for 32 years until 2016 — making it one of the most iconic and collectible Land Rovers ever produced, celebrated for its rugged simplicity and timeless design.
This 1991 Defender 110 L315 was built at the Land Rover factory in Solihull, United Kingdom on April 19, 1991 for the Sultan of Oman’s Armed Forces. After retiring from military service with reportedly only 77,454 kilometers, it was acquired by the current owner in 2023 and relocated to the United Arab Emirates, where it underwent a comprehensive frame-off restoration and modification. As part of the owner’s global private Land Rover collection, the vehicle remained in the United Arab Emirates before being relocated to the United States collection in 2025.
The Defender holds a clean and clear Montana title in the current owner’s Montana LLC and is located in Spring Lake, New Jersey. The replacement odometer reads approximately 636 miles, representing mileage since restoration; true mileage is unknown. There are no known mechanical, electrical, structural, or significant cosmetic deficiencies, consistent with a high-quality restoration.
Exterior
The exterior presents exceptionally well, with impeccable attention to detail as expected from a frame-off restoration. The original aluminum body is finished in ceramic-coated Nara Bronze with removable upper door windows. Three custom marine-grade canvas soft tops, a Coffee full soft top providing year-round comfort and two bimini soft tops in Coffee and Wine for open air enjoyment. The full soft top features roll-up windows, stainless steel hardware and leather strapping and the bimini soft tops cover the passenger area and feature webbed strapping. The driver and passenger half doors allow for the removal of the top window sections.
The Defender sits confidently on a 2" Terrafirma All-Terrain suspension lift with 285/75R16 BFGoodrich KO2 All-Terrain tires mounted on 16x10 gloss black 5-spoke beadlock wheels — delivering an authentic look and stance.
Interior
The custom-designed, fabricated, and upholstered 10-passenger interior presents beautifully while balancing vintage and nautical aesthetics with tasteful upgrades.
The cabin maintains a custom nautical-inspired look while providing modern comforts and conveniences.
Mechanical
The replacement rebuilt powertrain delivers both reliability and capability with exceptional style. The engine is dressed with body-color-matched Nara Bronze valve covers and polished pulleys. The bulkhead is fitted with Dynamat sound-dampening and heat insulation for optimal cabin comfort. High-quality replacement power disc brake components, power steering components, exhaust system, fuel system, body mounts, and soft and hard lines are consistent with a restoration of this caliber.
