This isn't a restoration-it's a full-blown rewrite of what a
first-gen Camaro should be.
This 1968 Chevrolet Pro Touring Camaro comes out swinging in
Graphite Metallic, murdered-out with every piece of chrome and trim
blacked out like it's got something to prove. It doesn't shine-it
stalks. Sitting low and mean on black XXR Racing wheels, the stance
alone tells you this car isn't here for casual conversations.
Under the hood is where it gets violent. A 6.0L LS setup loaded
with LS2 heads, intake, and injectors, punched up with a BTR cam
that gives it that nasty, unmistakable chop. It's backed by a built
4L80E and an FTI 3600 stall converter-translation: it hits hard,
pulls harder, and doesn't quit. Tuned by CBI and wired with a full
American Autowire harness, this thing isn't just fast-it's
dialed.
The chassis is straight-up surgical. TCI 4-link out back, Ridetech
coilovers, and a 9-inch rear with 4.11 gears and Posi-this thing
hooks like it's glued to the asphalt. Up front, QA1 control arms
and Viking coilovers keep it tight and responsive, while four-wheel
disc brakes with drilled and slotted rotors clamp down hard when
things get out of hand.
Inside, it's all business with just enough edge. Black vinyl
buckets, Dakota Digital gauges glowing like a cockpit, the classic
horseshoe shifter still holding it down, and an upgraded stereo if
you want to drown out that cam lope-which you won't.
Vintage Air keeps it cool. Power steering makes it easy. But don't
get it twisted-this car is built to move, not cruise politely.
Cold start to redline, this Camaro is all attitude, all the
time.
