After 20 years of ownership, I am passing on my 1997 Mercedes SL500. I am only the third owner, purchasing it with 41,775 miles on it almost 20 years ago.
The car has been very well maintained and has never seen a winter during my ownership. It is in excellent overall condition and presents beautifully. The interior is extremely clean, other than a little rubbing on the drivers seat due to the way I slid into the car.
I put.a brand new Soft Top on the car a few years ago and the R&R cylinders were replaced for the top retraction. There are also new wheels and the tires have 11,000 or so miles on them. The transmission was also rebuilt a number of years ago and the antennae was replaced in 2017.
