For Sale: 1985 Jaguar XJ in Carey, Illinois

T his is a very lovely and beautiful condition Jaguar Vanden Plas saloon. Finished in Silver Sand metallic with beige leather interior that presents in incredibly nice condition and is borderline immaculate. The Vanden Plas was the top of the line with a special seat lay-out comprising of semi-buckets in the rear and unique seat stitching adopting high-end Connolly hide leather which lesser models did not have. There is additional leather incorporated in the armrests and centre console. The condition of the leather is outstanding not showing any of the usual wear often seen on other examples. The Vanden Plas also used a higher end of burl walnut wood on the dash. This is a 3 meticulous owner car with a very low 39,000 miles, residing pretty much all its life in Florida until around 2021 and Texas following. She has an accident free and clean Carfax report. Everything is functioning as it should and as pictures show, is in outstanding presentation. Recently serviced and all in working order to include new shock and steering bushings and brake service by experienced technicians. Mechanically the car is good with no known issues. Just a quick look under the hood is testament to how well this Vanden Plas has been maintained. All features and function work as they should; windows, door locks, sun-roof, antenna, stereo, A/C, heater, interior and exterior lights, horn (both high and low).... the complete list. Body and paint is very good. It was repainted some 10 years ago and presents very shiny and consistent with hardly a minor chip here and there. There is some minor bubbling in the typical bottom of the front and rear window areas. The previous owner paid top dollar to source and fit the gorgeous European specification "pepper-pot" wheels and these set off the car perfectly. They are in excellent as-new condition and mounted with good tyres in their correct 215/70-15 size. The interior is quite a stunning aspect of the car with no noticeable wear. The carpets are excellent and the cloth headliner is in good condition without any of the typical "droop" usually seen on this model. The leather great and the dash like a new one. The burl walnut wood is in nice condition but with some hairline cracking in the lacquer but a lot less than typical. Have a close look at the buttons and switch gear; they are all in excellent condition. Simply amazing. The rear parcel shelf shows no sign of fade. She is also a non-smoker car so clean and sweet.
