Gateway Classic Cars Tampa Showroom is pumped to digitally present
this nasty 1966 Chevrolet Chevelle "SS" Tribute. Car guys and girls
love to name their rides and this one might be appropriately named,
"El Diablo." Everything about this '66 is HOT! The red paint is so
hot you'll have to squint. Maybe, "Hot Sauce" is a better name.
Anyway, if you want the classic mid '60s Chevelle look but with
substantially better performance then look no further. This
"Tribute" was a full blown restoration performed by the owner who
just happens to be a retired military veteran with a serious
attention to detail obsession. Under the hood, is a very healthy
de-stroked 454 (140154445) crammed with a mean sounding cam and
topped off with Edelbrock heads, Weiand Stealth intake, and a
Brawler carb. A Muncie 4-speed sends the power back to a 12 bolt
rear differential with 3.73 gears. Wilwood brakes and QA1s keep
everything stopping and handling better than new. If you want to
mess with your neighbors, flip a switch and the exhaust opens...he
he. They'll love it. So here's the bottom line. This '66 has the
look, the stance, the power, and the cool factor without question.
It would virtually be impossible to find a worthy Chevelle, take it
to a quality shop, and have it built to this level for what you can
buy this tough guy for. Consignor/Builder has a folder of receipts.
You'll see this one sitting on the showroom floor at the Tampa
location, but you better hurry!
