911 Production No. 999,999
The year 2017 is monumental for the Porsche marque. On 10 May, an
Irish Green 911 Carrera S rolled off the production line in
Zuffenhausen as the one-millionth 911 produced-etching the beloved
rear-engined sports car's name into the halls of automotive
divinity. Remarkably, just ahead of it on the assembly line, this
equally striking 2017 Porsche 911 Targa 4 GTS traversed the same
path, positioning itself as a compelling prelude to that landmark
achievement.
This example is the 999,999th 911 produced and is finished in
Guards Red (G1), recognized by Porsche as one of the most iconic
colors ever applied to the model. Its 911 Targa 4 GTS framework
provides near limitless dimensions of enjoyment: combining
Porsche's signature open-top driving experience, all-wheel drive,
and the GTS' top-of-the-line performance across the "standard" 911
range-producing 450 horsepower through the proven, lightning-fast
seven-speed PDK transmission.
The included copy of its Porsche Certificate of Authenticity
reveals a sizable list of desirable options and thoughtful
specification. The Black power Targa roof folds away to a matching
leather and Alcantara interior, though punctuated with Guards Red
accents on the Sport Chrono Clock Dial and seatbelts. Desirable
options include LED headlights finished in black with Porsche
Dynamic Light System (PDLS) Plus and Adaptive Sport Seats Plus
featuring electrical 18-way heated seats with memory package.
Further premium appointments include the Rear Interior Lighting
Package, Carbon Fiber Interior Package, Smoking Package, and
Premium Package Plus; the latter adding an array of technology
including Porsche Entry & Drive, auto-dimming mirrors, and
Porsche's suite of safety assists.
After its meaningful departure from Zuffenhausen in on 19 April
2017, this example was sold through Pfaff Porsche that June
according to its clean CARFAX Vehicle History Report. Following a
short stay in Canada, the 911 was brought to Florida in January
2019. It was held by just two caretakers and has been driven
sparingly, with standard maintenance reported including a
preemptive 40,000-mile service conducted in December 2023 by The
Collection Porsche and another performed in July 2024 at Porsche
specialists Parkhaus1 in Miami.
This special 2017 Porsche 911 Targa 4 GTS is now offered with only
14,471 kilometers (8,992 miles) at cataloging and is furnished with
a commemorative pylon trophy authenticating its production status,
a copy of The Porsche Principle brochure, its original window
sticker, and leather folio with owner's books.
As the 999,999th example produced, this 911 Targa 4 GTS has earned
its place in any respected Porsche collection in more ways than
one. That it is so thoughtfully specified only enhances its appeal;
comfortable yet uncompromising and poised for any situation, while
remaining a key figure in one of Porsche's greatest milestones.
