get behind the wheel and never get out! Body off restored, the
engine compartment sparkles like jewelry and the all leather
interior is 1st class.
EXTERIOR: The fit and finish on this car are phenomenal, and the
color is simply extraordinary! The body panels are laser straight,
with the emblems removed for a clean, streamlined look. From the
rockers to the roofline, the car is stunning. The candy apple red
metallic paint is laid out evenly, and the clear coat has been
polished to a glass like shine. Even the door jambs and hinges are
finished in high gloss. It features a cowl induction hood with a
flapper door, while the SS stripes are done in metallic silver for
a subtle custom touch. All of the chrome and trim sparkle
brilliantly. The windshield is new, the remaining glass has been
tinted, and the weatherstrips and seals have all been replaced. The
stance is completed with a set of 15 inch polished Torque Thrust
wheels wrapped in meaty BFGoodrich tires, giving it an aggressive
and confident look.
INTERIOR: This is a first class custom interior, fully wrapped in
premium leather throughout. That includes the seats, door panels,
console, visors, sculpted headliner, pillars, kick panels, and even
the backs of the seats. A pair of comfortable sport seats provide
excellent support, while the custom center console features a
padded armrest, cup holders, and houses the power window and lock
switches. Up front is a new dash pad and SS instrument panel
upgraded with HDX gauges. A retro style stereo sits in the factory
location, powering speakers in the kick panels and 6x9s behind the
seats. Down below is custom carpet with plush floor mats. It also
features a new tilt steering column with a cushion grip steering
wheel. Additional highlights include billet handles, knobs, and
mirror, a three point retractable seat belts, and a completely
upgraded wiring system with new fuse block tucked neatly under the
dash. Altogether, it is an exceptionally comfortable and
beautifully finished interior.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: The engine compartment is pure mechanical
jewelry! Power comes from a Street & Performance built LT1 350,
delivering over 325 horsepower. It features fuel injection, coated
headers, and an abundance of sparkling chrome. The front runner
system is fully dressed in chrome, including the A/C compressor,
alternator, serpentine pulleys, and brackets. It also has modern
power steering with a polished remote reservoir, and the power
brake system is even chromed. Braided stainless steel hoses add to
the high end presentation. An aluminum water pump, aluminum
radiator, overflow bottle, and dual electric fans keep it running
cool. The engine bay itself has been smoothed, with the holes
filled, and finished in paint as glossy as the exterior. This is
definitely the kind of car you park with the hood open at the
shows!
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: The tailgate opens effortlessly with new latches
and hardware. Inside, you'll find a custom made wood floor accented
by polished stainless steel strips. The side walls are clean metal,
finished in the same beautiful Candy Apple Red as the exterior.
UNDERSIDE: This El Camino was treated to a body off frame
restoration, and the underside is just as impressive as the top
side. The floors are clean, rust free metal finished in satin
black, while the frame and chassis components were carefully
prepped and painted in a glossier black for added contrast. The
suspension and steering systems have been completely rebuilt and
upgraded with gas shocks, front and rear sway bars, and boxed rear
control arms. The brake system has been fully replaced as well,
including the lines, hoses, and emergency brake assembly, with
front disc brakes providing confident stopping power. The fuel
system has also been replaced, including the tank and lines, all
designed to work seamlessly with the fuel injected engine. A
ceramic coated dual exhaust with crossover pipe and polished
stainless Borla mufflers gives the car an excellent sound. Looking
up at the drivetrain, the engine bay underside is clean and
detailed, featuring a high torque starter. Power is backed by a
200R4 automatic overdrive transmission, a rebuilt driveshaft, and a
stout 12-bolt rear end equipped with 3.73 Posi gears.
