These 4-door Wrangler Unlimiteds are just outstanding. They are very capable vehicles and certainly live up to the Jeep name, but with a huge increase in space over the classic 2-door design. Obviously the rear doors make things easier for extra passengers, and the extended rear compartment offers increased of storage space. But you also get a greatly improved ride with the Unlimited’s longer wheelbase along with the all-aluminum 3.6L V6 engine and a Freedom 3-piece hardtop. There’s a lot to love!
This 2019 Sport model is a fourth-generation JL version that brings a great deal of refinement over previous designs. This example shows 84k miles and has a clean Carfax with the exception of a manufacturer buyback at 10k miles due to a reported oil leak (with no issues reported since). It is in wonderful condition throughout and really pops with its Punk’n Metallic orange paint and tinted windows. It also has been fitted with a Black Horse grille guard and OEDRO running boards for additional form and function. The tires are 285/70R17 BF Goodrich All-Terrain models with 2024 date codes.
The engine is Jeep’s well-regarded 3.6 liter V6 rated at 285 hp and coupled to a Torqueflite 850RE 8-speed automatic transmission. This feeds the transfer case with on-the-fly four wheel drive followed by Dana axles with 3.45 gear ratios. It all combines for a relatively high 23 mpg on the highway. The ride is very comfortable as the longer wheelbase delivers a smoother experience than the 2-door Wranglers. Still, it remains easy to maneuver and park and will fit in any standard garage. It is also simple for anyone to drive with power steering, power brakes, and the automatic transmission.
The black interior offers many nice features that cannot be taken for granted in a Wrangler. This one provides a 7-inch color touch screen with backup camera, climate control, power windows, cruise control, and a Bluetooth sound system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It also has the optional Freedom Hard Top which allow you to remove just the front panels or the entire top. The doors can also be removed – as they say, “Only in a Jeep”. All weather floor mats and roof panel storage bags are also present along with two keyfobs.
This is a very nice Wrangler without any mechanical problems or cosmetic issues. Its window sticker shows an MSRP of $41,105. With the additional equipment and newer tires this one presents a very nice deal for its next owner. And you won’t find a better, more practical vehicle for all four seasons than a Wrangler Unlimited.
