The popular Corvette C3 Stingray was produced from 1968 through
1982. Taking many styling cues from GM's Mako Shark concept car,
the Stingray's design utilized a long, sculpted hood, curvy fenders
and an aggressive stance.
Elkhart Green with Saddle Tan Leather-
This carefully restored (2014) '72 454 Corvette coupe has been
returned to virtually original condition. The outstanding Elkhart
Green respray w/white accents was professionally done and the
2-piece Targa T-tops are in excellent condition. Other accents
include handsome side pipes and BFGoodrich Radial T/As mounted on
15"x8" GM Rally wheels w/centers and trim rings. (The '72 model was
also the last year for front/rear chrome bumpers.) The interior has
been fully restored w/Saddle Tan leather upholstery. All interior
components - dash, console, door cards, carpeting - are in
excellent condition. Features include tinted windows, tilt wheel,
working gauges and a Craig AM/FM/8-track sound system. All
door/window rubber seals are in good condition and the coupe is
equipped with the factory removable rear window. The vacuum control
system for headlights/wipers also works well.
Big Block 454ci and 4-Speed Manual-
Under the hood, the 454ci 'Rat' is said to be a numbers matching
motor that is believed to have never required a rebuild. The engine
compartment looks original right down to the RF ignition shielding
and exhaust routed through the side pipes sounds amazing. The motor
is backed by a GM 4-speed manual transmission and posi-traction
differential. The chassis is equipped with power steering and
manual disc brakes with 4-piston calipers and dual master cylinder.
