One of only 3001 Hurst Olds cars were built in 1983 making these
cars particularly rare and with this specific car having low
mileage makes it even rarer. This car has always been a local to us
car and we are excited to have it. Around this time the GM lineup
had started the trend of moving away from rear wheel drive cars to
front wheel drive using the A-Body platform but these G-bopdy cars
held out a little longer. 1983 marked the 15 year anniversary since
the first Hurst Olds built in 1968. The base model Cutlass would be
around $11,000 in 1983 but the optioned up Hurst with Lightening
Rod shifter dual exhaust a powered up 307 cubic inch V8 would cost
nearly double that. These cars were highly desired which is shy
they brought it back for 1984 exactly the same way with the
exception that the paint scheme was flipped. This car has a few
minor paint blemishes that come with age but nothing crazy. It is
free of rust and rot and has had excellent care throughout its
life. All lights and guages workj, the interior is in excellent
condition. It starts, runs and goes down the road like new and will
make someone an excellent car for collector purposes or crusing. We
welcome any questions or inspections here in our Traverse City
location.
