GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this 1975 Bricklin SV-1 for
your consideration. This SV-1 comes finished in an Orange exterior
over a Tan interior, creating a unique presence. Powering this
Bricklin is a 351ci Windsor V8 paired with a 3-speed Ford FMX
automatic transmission. With only approximately 2,900 examples ever
produced, surviving models like this are becoming increasingly
collectible. This example has seen recent service in 2024 including
new tires, fresh fluids throughout, new front rotors, brake pads,
bearings and seals, along with rear brake shoes and wheel
cylinders. Additional highlights include replaced transmission
cooler lines to the radiator, recharged air conditioning with R12a
refrigerant, a replaced air door compressor and one A/C cylinder,
new fuel pump, and new battery. The car features its signature
air-powered gullwing doors, walnut grain dashboard, aftermarket
Bluetooth-capable stereo, cruise control system, functional heat
and air conditioning, and even includes the owner's manual and
passenger sun visor both signed by Malcolm Bricklin. Drive this one
out of our showroom or have us assist with shipping it to you
anywhere in the United States! Don't hesitate to call us with any
questions or for more information.
The Bricklin SV-1 was produced from 1974 to 1975 and was the
brainchild of entrepreneur Malcolm Bricklin, who aimed to create a
safety-focused sports car. The "SV" in SV-1 stands for "Safety
Vehicle One," highlighting its innovative features such as
integrated roll-over protection and energy-absorbing bumpers. Built
in New Brunswick, Canada, the SV-1 was known for its distinctive
gullwing doors and futuristic styling. Despite its short production
run, the Bricklin has earned a loyal following thanks to its unique
design, limited production numbers, and place in automotive history
as a bold and unconventional sports car.
