"The Corvette is faster, more luxurious and more capable than ever,
thanks to new technologies and an updated style for 2016. Long
considered a premier choice for power and class, the Corvette
earned more than 20 industry awards in 2014, as well as a spot on
several "10 Best" lists in 2015. For its newest incarnation,
several 2016 Chevy Corvette reviews have praised the powerful car
as the best it has ever been." Midwaychevy.com
For consignment, a 2016 Chevrolet Corvette 2LT Stingray coupe with
a title verified 12,886 actual miles. This is a one owner, one of
one built car that according to our consignor, has never seen rain
and knowing Corvette owners like we do, we don't doubt it! The 2LT
package affords heated and vented seats, an upgraded sound system,
heads up display, front camera, memory package, and improved seat
support.
Exterior
Two stage Shark Grey Metallic sets the base here and the box was
also checked for red brake calipers and the combination adds to the
complete badassery of the car. That gaping front intake is
underscored by a twin pointed chin spoiler, complemented by a
curvaceous with aggressive and functional heat extractor vents. The
legendary Corvette side cove gets a nod here with sharply canted
fender vents while a rather subtle, body colored wing hovers over
the taillights and rear fascia capped off by four massive exhaust
ports exiting in the center of the piano black valance. 19-inch
front and 20-inch five spoke wheels are wrapped in tires with an
early 2025 date code. Imperfections are few and include some
scrapes in the fiberglass under the rocker panel, and the oh so
common chin scrapes.
Interior
Kalahari leather, a shade of saddle brown, mixes with formed black
plastic on the door to begin our dramatic view of the interior, and
the black leather header has saddle stitching. Corvette puts
criticism of seat design to sleep with the C7's saddle buckets,
here presenting in fantastic shape. The steering wheel is just this
side of F1 with paddles, buttons, and a flat bottom. Moving north
to south in the center gives you a screen with navigation and a
back up camera and a sound system that is Bluetooth and XM capable
while sliding down, we find the shifter in a brushed aluminum
faceplate, ahead of a Kalahari armrest. Low pile carpet on the
floor is perfect and is found in the cargo area while the charcoal
covering on the headliner around the removable targa top is whistle
clean.
Drivetrain
Under the hood is the heavily shrouded 6.2 liter LT1 V8 putting out
a respectable 455 horsepower that's set into motion via the 8L90E
8-speed automatic transmission. Power finds its way to the rear
axle with 3.31 gears and limited slip. Visually, the bay looks
showroom fresh.
Undercarriage
The underside also remains remarkably clean and houses the dual
exhaust system through original equipment and as mentioned,
terminating in four big tips out back. Power disc brakes are
supplied to all four corners and suspension consists of short arm,
long arm, and transverse leaf springs front and rear.
Drive-Ability
No surprises here for this sports car that's barely broken in. Like
a Veg-O-Matic, it does everything well; slices through the air,
dices up the corners, all the while tracking straight and eliciting
smiles from those on the inside and out. All functions on this
pampered Stingray operate as they should and it's time to get this
one in the public eye! While Classic Auto Mall represents that
these functions were working at the time of our test drive, we
cannot guarantee these functions will be working at the time of
your purchase.
A fantastic spec, a one owner car, and super low mileage. This one
checks all the boxes and will fulfill that Corvette itch that keeps
you up at night. No, it's not sleep apnea that does it, it's that
empty spot in your garage you've been reserving for a nice, stock
C7 Corvette. Make this one of one yours and its sweet dreams
ahead!
