This exceptional and incredibly rare early Alpha One conversion pays tribute to one of the most iconic sports cars ever built-the 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO-while being expertly crafted atop a solid and well-documented 1977 Datsun 280Z platform. Acquired from the estate of a long-term owner in the Cincinnati area, this example is believed to be a factory Alpha One build, completed in the late 1980s-an era when these kits reached such a high level of accuracy that Ferrari ultimately took legal action against Alpha One due to how convincingly they replicated the original GTO design.

Originally finished in dark green over a brown interior, this documented 86,000-mile, clean Indiana-titled 280Z has been transformed into a seamless and highly authentic recreation specifically modeled after a 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO. The Alpha One body has been expertly bonded and fitted with exceptional precision, showing no signs of stress cracking and featuring tight, consistent panel gaps throughout.
