This ONE OWNER Pagoda Two Top SL is an original car !!! Cars of
this caliber are hard to write a text about. Seldom in the car
collecting world do we come across a 58 year old example of an
iconic ,very collectible example such as this car .I will try to
express in a few sentences the preserving nature of the history of
this car. The original owner and her husband were driving down the
road and passed a Pagoda 280 SL and she expressed her desire to own
such a pretty car. The husband gifted this car to her ,he passed
and she had a wall knocked down in her house ,put the car inside
where it sat until recent days. Upon taking it out of the house she
commissioned HUNTZBERRY'S IMPORT AUTOMOTIVE of Prince Frederick Md
to sort the mechanics and get it running again. Upon reaching John
Huntzberry in order to get the recent history John stated ,"It is
the best example he has seen"- I concur. I have had the opportunity
to own at least seventy five of these cars and have never seen such
a well preserved example. The cars left the factory with cosmoline
sprayed on the underside to protect the cars for travel across the
ocean. The cosmoline will wear off from use on the roads and normal
travel. Review the undercarriage shots of this car and you will
note an orange coloring, ,this is the original cosmoline from the
factory-seldom to never seen on the examples .The original spot
wields are on every panel that had them from factory. The headlight
bezels are still in place-the reason is because this is an original
car !!! Everything is original on the car. The car has not been
taken apart and restored ,it has never had an accident or rust
,paint is original(review paint meter readings posted). I noted
when reviewing for purchase that the chrome door entry slats were
blacked out ,I started removing the black and realized they had put
black electrical tape on the slats to preserve them ,it worked and
they look new(one example of a conscientious owner).
Note the original trunk floor ,no imperfections ,no surface rust
and original. The aluminum doors are are razor straight, there is
not a door ding or imperfection on any body panel.
The car comes with the original books, metal service card with
original owners name and service booklet stamped and dated. All
books, manuals, tools are with the car.
Soft top still looks new as does the hard top and hard top
headliner. .Wood trim still looks new and is original. Carpets
,seats ,gauges ,door cards, dash top, original radio are all crisp,
sharp ,and look new. Temperature slide levers move
easily and smooth. Glass and chrome all are as new.
The car starts easily with no smoke. The car drives as one would
expect a well serviced ,well preserved example to drive ,the car is
tight ,and responds as designed by Mercedes Benz.

Pagoda cars available.
The car is located in indoor facility 25 miles east of downtown
