Survivor Classic Car Services is proud to present this beast of a
1966 Chevrolet C10. This Pro-Street pickup is packing a powerhouse
of an engine provided by Blueprint Engines. The 383 stroker V8 was
dyno-proven making 453 horsepower at 5,900 RPMs. Power is sent
through a TCI Streetfighter TH350 transmission with a 2800rpm stall
and into a Ford 9" style housing that has been narrowed,
reinforced, and stuffed with a Strange nodular case, Moser 35
spline spool, and Moser Axles. The giant steamroller tires out back
are Mickey Thompson Sportsman Pro 33 x 19.5 on 15" Wheel Vintiques
with a HUGE dish.
The rear of the frame has been completely cut out and replaced with
a Checker Racing 2 x 3 frame and 4-link suspension setup. The
brackets for the suspension are provided by Competition
Engineering. To preserve the quality of workmanship, the bare metal
was clear coated to keep the "raw" look, while still protecting
everything from the elements. Bringing this rocketship to a safe
stop is thanks to the 4-wheel power disc brakes with CPP front
brakes and Aerospace rear brakes.
Everything from the stance, the faux patina, the subtle flames on
the dashboard, the heavy thumping from the exhaust at idle and the
loud, bellowing scream at redline adds to the cool factory of this
trophy-winning C10. The wiring has been gone through with an
American Autowire Classic Update making it as reliable as it is
fun! Included is a full build list and receipts for the build.
