Finished in non-metallic Black over Black full leather and a Black
power soft top, this 2005 Porsche 911 Turbo S Cabriolet presents in
a classic and sophisticated specification, showing fewer than
25,000 miles accumulated under two long-term private owners.
Produced in the final model year of 996 Turbo production-a send-off
immediately preceding the arrival of the 997 in 2006-and optioned
with the highly sought-after six-speed manual transmission, it
combines the X50 Power Kit, all-wheel drive, Porsche Ceramic
Composite Brakes (PCCB), and exclusive interior appointments as
standard, making this Turbo S Cabriolet the ultimate open 911 of
its era.
Power comes from the twin-turbocharged 3.6-liter "Mezger" flat-six,
factory-rated at 444 horsepower and 457 lb-ft of torque courtesy of
the X50 kit's revised engine management software and uprated
turbochargers and intercoolers. Braking is handled by PCCB with
yellow-painted six-piston front and four-piston rear calipers,
complemented by Porsche Stability Management and an automatic brake
differential. The exterior showcases the Turbo's signature
wide-body silhouette-wider rear bodywork, rear air intakes, revised
bumper covers, and a speed-activated rear spoiler-complemented by
18-inch Turbo Twist wheels mounted with new Bridgestone Potenza
RE-71RS tires installed in February 2026.
The cabin is trimmed in Black full leather extending to the
dashboard and door panels, with the seat inserts trimmed in custom
heritage-inspired pepita houndstooth cloth. Amenities include
heated, power-adjustable front seats with lumbar support and
driver-seat memory, automatic climate control, a wind deflector,
and cruise control, Porsche Communication Management with
navigation, and a CD stereo with remote disc changer.
The accompanying CARFAX Vehicle History Report indicates that the
car was initially delivered through Porsche Exchange in Highland
Park, Illinois, remaining in the state for the majority of its
life. The Turbo S changed hands to its second private owner in
2007, with the report noting routine service through Napleton
Westmont Porsche in subsequent years. Acquired by the consigning
dealer in 2024, the car now shows 24,650 miles at cataloging and
presents in wonderful condition commensurate with its relatively
low mileage. It is accompanied by its owner's manuals, tools, jack,
and wind deflector.
