The 1st generation Camaro first arrived in dealerships in September of 66 as a 67 model on a brand-new F body platform. For its second year the 68 model was updated with the introduction of Astro Ventilation, the side vent windows were deleted, side marker lights were added on the front and rear fenders and it received a more pointed front grille in addition to divided rear taillights. This particular example was born in Norwood during the 3rd week in March of 1968 with a 350ci V8, a console shifted 2 Speed Powerglide and a 12 bolt posi rear end. It was originally finished in Butternut Yellow with a Black Vinyl Top and a Standard Black Interior. Approximately 15 years ago it received a new GM 350ci V8 crate engine, it was converted to a M21 4-Speed and it was painted in a gorgeous Daytona Yellow. The engine is fed via a 650cfm Edelbrock carb with electronic choke, it is sparked by an Accel electronic ignition and it sounds just plain nasty ripping through its dual performance exhaust. It has a standard black interior that is in good shape except for the vent on the driver side. It is missing a couple of pieces so it was removed but most of the pieces are still present and are in the trunk. In 2019 the current owner drove this beauty on Route 66 all the way to California and back. Just before taking that trip a new Alpine BT stereo was mounted in the glove box hidden from sight and it received new Rockford Fosgate speakers. In 2024 it received a new clutch, new shocks, new brakes and it was fully serviced. With the exception of the horn and the driver air vent everything is working as it should. The car is absolute pleasure to drive and turns heads wherever it goes. Based on its present condition we would classify this a # 2 car. As such we would appraise it at $38,500.00. We are serious about finding a new home for her and have priced it aggressively so if you like what you see we encourage you to contact us before it is too late!
