Comprehensively restored 1959 Ford Thunderbird. 352 V8 paired to a Cruise-O-Matic automatic transmission. Beautiful Baltic Blue exterior over two tone blue interior sitting on Kelsey Hayes wire wheels with wide white wall tires give this car the look it deserves. Bright work is in excellent condition. Power steering, power brakes, and Magic-Aire heater/defroster.
Extensive mechanical service completed in September 2025 to ensure reliable operation and turn key start. Work included rethreading and resealing the oil pan, resurfacing and re-sealing the intake manifold and valve covers, installing an electronic ignition with new distributor, cap, rotor, and plugs, and fitting a new battery and voltage regulator. The cooling system was refreshed with a new water pump, thermostat, hoses, belts, and antifreeze fill. The carburetor was serviced with new gaskets and adjustments. The transmission, was fully serviced with a new pan gasket, fresh Type-F fluid, and new cooler lines. Timing and choke were adjusted, and a full tune up was completed for smooth performance.
This Thunderbird received a thorough restoration within the past decade, including an engine rebuild. It was also part of the Pete Todo collection. The body was stripped to bare metal and refinished in Baltic Blue. The interior remains excellent, with no rips or worn spots on seats or carpet. All accessories function properly except for the vacuum operated windshield wipers, which currently stop at about two-thirds of their sweep, and the AC/heat.
On the road, the Thunderbird runs and drives as it should, with strong power, smooth shifting, and confident steering. The Kelsey Hayes chrome wire wheels wear BF Goodrich wide white wall tires with 13/32nds tread plus a spare in the trunk. Both bumpers and exterior brightwork present beautifully, and the body is free from visible scratches or dents.
