A classic truck, thoughtfully modified and tastefully modernized,
possesses a unique and undeniable charm. One look at a truck like
this 1972 Ford F-100 Supercharged Coyote Restomod in person is
guaranteed to elicit a positive reaction from onlookers anywhere it
goes. Fully repainted in a gorgeous Dark Blue Metallic, this
resto-modded truck features a custom grille, badge delete,
relocated fuel tank, color-matched bumper with integrated lights,
custom suspension, and a modern, high-revving small-block V-8
packaged in this retro-styled short-bed workhorse.
Inside, we find a spectacular black vinyl interior. A pair of comfy
bucket seats is separated by a custom center console that features
dual cupholders, a storage armrest, and USB ports to charge all
your devices - a far cry from when this truck first rolled off the
assembly line. A Grant GT power-assisted steering wheel sits ahead
of a horizontal 120-mph speedometer, while a Bluetooth-enabled
RetroSound AM/FM/AUX head unit handles soundtrack duties.
Under the hood, we find a 5.0-liter Gen III supercharged DOHC
Coyote V-8 engine. Featuring a VMP ODIN blower by Magnuson, VMP
cold air intake, VMP throttle body, electric cooling fans, shorty
headers, and a Borla ATAK side-exit exhaust, this small block makes
a very conservative 640-horsepower at the rear wheels, with plenty
of power leftover. Funneled through a 10R80 ten-speed automatic
transmission, those ponies are then sent to a Currie 9-inch rear
end via a carbon-fiber driveshaft. Big 20-inch Rocket wheels, shod
in Z-rated rubber, put power to the pavement far more efficiently
than engineers half a century ago could even have dreamed of,
outside of an NHRA event.
