FAIRLANE 500 SKYLINER Ford's 1957 Skyliner was the world's first
retracting hardtop convertible to be truly mass-produced by a car
company from the factory. This stunning 1957 Ford Fairlane 500
Skyliner is displayed in its iconic original livery, finished in
glistening Ebony Black exterior, with complimenting Black and White
interior, with glistening chrome and gold highlights. All chrome
trims, glass and fitment throughout are excellent. The interior
features the dynamic styling of the era, displaying the 120mph
speedometer, large diameter steering wheel, original clock, with
all the functions and roomy comfortable seating. The original
located radio has been outfitted with a FMR conversion. Power
steering and original mechanical brakes. Mechanically, the
driveline appears to be original numbers matching. V-8 312ci 4BBL
OHV producing 245hp engine. Three speed Ford-O- Matic transmission.
The engine compartment is immaculately detailed. The fuel tank was
placed vertically in back of the rear seat, offering increased
safety in a rear collision while making room for the retractable
top in the trunk. New, less than 200 miles, wide white wall Cocker
tires mounted on chrome Ford logo wire wheels finish the exterior
look. The retractable hard top functions easily. Thorough
inspection of the chassis, body and suspension reveals no evidence
of rust or damages. Recent improvements include; new battery,
rebuilt carburetor, new power steering lines, rebuilt rear wheel
