One of America's winningest racing drivers, Don Yenko - a Chevy
dealer based in Canonsburg, PA stoked the 1960s 'muscle car wars'
with his wild 427-powered Super Camaro soon after Chevy's new pony
car debuted for 1967. Upgraded with transplanted RPO L72 427ci
engines and supporting components, the Yenko Super Camaro ruled the
street!
Some distinct Yenko options include a Stewart Warner tachometer and
instrument package, a fiberglass stinger hood, added '427' emblems,
and a wicked sounding exhaust fed by a pair of tuned headers!
With only 54 Yenko Super Camaros produced and an average selling
price of $700,000.00 the previous owner took matters into his own
hands and set out to build his dream car! Starting with a
one-owner, lady driven 67' Coupe he found online searching around
Alabama...and then over a few year period he performed a pin-neat
restoration that took home ""best-in show"" at his first debut!
The Team at Lafontaine Classic Cars is proud to offer this
incredibly well done camaro that performs truly as good as it
looks! Hot rod magazine did a wonderful write up on this car with
great detail from the builder/owner on the story along with its
mechanical makeup.
