Cruisin Classics is proud to present to you today this 1982
Chevrolet K10 Custom Deluxe ton shortbox stepside truck. If
you're a square-body fan, you're going to absolutely love this
truck! This K10 underwent a frame-off nut and bolt restoration just
109 miles ago, and it shows everywhere you look. The frame was
professionally restored, blasted, powder-coated, and outfitted with
new bushings. A Rough Country lift kit and suspension were added,
giving this black beauty a tall, intimidating stance. We're told
that during the restoration, the truck also received new bumpers,
trim, emblems, grille, hood, tailgate, doors, and oak bed - and
that's just exterior improvements! It has a fresh, glossy coat of
jet black paint that looks deep enough to dive into (2-stage
base/clear). Up front, a cowl hood sits above a bright eggcrate
grille flanked by stacked rectangular headlights. Beneath is a
chrome bumper with integrated turn signals and a black chin spoiler
with two tow hooks. Moving around to the side, you'll notice
"Custom Deluxe 10" fender badges and dual polished side mirrors.
New black drop steps have been added under each door for easy
access into the cab. Gas fill doors are still present on each rear
fender, but a new Boyd's fuel tank has been added with a
flush-mount filler in the bed. Making the whole side view even
cooler is a brand new set of black Mickey Thompson Classic Baja
Lock wheels all wrapped in BF Goodrich All-Terrain T/A tires
(33X12.50/R15) with only 44 miles on them - a match made in heaven
for the look of this K10. Around back, the new oak bed floor is
accented by chrome strips, and the blacked-out "CHEVROLET" tailgate
features spring-loaded interior latches. The underside of this
truck looks just as clean and impressive as the exterior.
Underneath you'll find 10-bolt front and rear axles with polished
covers, a new Flowmaster dual exhaust with ceramic-coated headers,
new shocks & springs, and a Rough Country steering stabilizer.
Lift the hood to reveal an exceptionally clean and organized matte
black engine bay. At the center is a fresh bright orange
performance built 350ci V-8 crate motor topped with aluminum heads,
chrome Chevrolet Performance valve covers, an Edelbrock aluminum
intake, an Edelbrock AVS2 4-barrel carburetor, and a chrome air
cleaner. You'll also notice power steering, a new aluminum
radiator, and a new booster and dual master cylinder for the front
disc and rear drum brakes. The hearty V-8 is mated to a Zumbrota
4500V 5-speed manual transmission with a front transfer case for
four-wheel-drive. Needless to say, this K-10 runs and drives as
good as it looks!
When you open the drivers door, both overhead and underdash
courtesy lights come on to illuminate a stunning black interior.
The black plastic door panels look stock and offer armrests and
window cranks. Step up into the cab and have a seat on the Chris
Snowden custom black vinyl bench with diamond stitching - it's just
as comfortable as it is good looking! The floors are covered in new
black carpet that's kept nice by rubber Chevy floormats. Rising up
from the center of the floor are a shifter for the 5-speed
transmission and another for the 4-wheel drive. Both shifters
feature black knobs with red patterns, a cool look. Ahead of the
driver is a sporty Trans Am 3-spoke steering wheel with a black
vinyl ring and working horn on a tilt column. The dash ahead is
topped with a new black vinyl pad and it features a newer black
bezel with bright rings framing a new set of Dakota Digital gauges.
There are gauges for temp, fuel, volts, and oil as well as a 160mph
speedometer and 8K tachometer with a digital information screen
operated by a button mounted under the dash. Also on the dash are
controls for the lights, the working 2-speed wipers, and the
working heat and fan. This truck has all you music lovers covered
with a great-sounding Sony AM/FM/CD/BT stereo with bass booster
that plays through Pioneer 6X9's mounted in the cab corners and a
Kicker subwoofer box centered behind the seat. While you're looking
behind the seat you'll also notice that the rear window has a
center slider for extra ventilation on hot days. On the passenger
side of the dash is a switch for the dual gas tanks (now obsolete),
a "Custom Deluxe" badged trim panel, and a glovebox that contains a
remote control for the stereo. Overhead is a brown painted steel
roof and dual visors. Although we have a few photos of the truck
during the restoration, we do not have any receipts or other
information pertaining to it.
If you're looking for an over-the-top lifted 4-wheel drive
square-body truck then this K10 is going to stop you in your
tracks! To say that this Chevy is like new would be an
understatement - it's far better than when it was new! It's got
looks, power, comfort, and amenities all rolled up into one
impressive package that's sure to put a smile on your face every
time you take it out for a cruise! Don't wait, give our friendly
staff a call today and make this K10 your own before someone else
beats you to it!
