"Originally from Long Beach, California, Jesse grew up around his
father's antiques business. His dad's small shop was quartered in a
shared warehouse with a large aftermarket parts manufacturer for
Harley-Davidson's and sport bikes. Those childhood influences set
the stage for his path in life. Jesse got his first mini-bike at
age 7, and, with that thrill, his passion for two wheeled machines
was kindled. He made his first crude motorcycle exhaust system
during his freshman year of high school in his mother's garage. His
perfectionist attitude, however, prevented him from keeping it; he
threw it away before anyone saw it." IMDB.com
For consignment, a Special Construction Jesse James chopper with a
title verified 945 actual miles. If you're looking for something
wild rather than mild, here's a show piece that looks great just
perched on the kick stand. Please note this bike is fresh out of
long term storage and will need some TLC before you take it on a
ride.
Exterior
Silver flames lick over the Midnight Blue Metallic on the elongated
tank, front fender, and wide fender. Choppers got their name
through cutting and welding of parts, and the stretched fork ahead
of the frame is emblematic. A single vertical tail light is on the
left side and the license plate is turned on end to match the vibe
while tiny marker lights are under the frame just inches from the
ground. The top of the bike comes together at a low spot where the
black leather seat resides with some slight patina, and the rest of
the bike can be summed up in a single word, chrome! A non intrusive
headlight is not immune from the chrome treatment and looks like a
mirrored bullet slug.
Functionality
Speaking of bullets, there are controls on the straight, chrome
handlebar that look like the barrel of a revolver with each chamber
filled of the six shooter. The grips and levers are chromed and cut
with decorative holes which are mirrored on the foot pegs. A
digital speedometer, wrapped in chrome, of course, if front and
center.
Drivetrain
Under all that chrome, we have a RevTech V-twin with a 1-barrel
carburetor and a 5-speed transmission spinning the back wheel via
belt drive with the front pulley dressed in a billet shield. Disc
brakes are front and rear on the chrome wire wheels and dual
exhaust exits through Vance and Hines mufflers in tandem on the
right side. The long fork is telescopic.
If you want one of one, here is your E-ticket to every bike show,
car show, and cool cruise. But as with so many bikes, this one
would be ideal office art and a great showroom attraction at any
motorcycle venue or business. How you use it is up to you.
