The 1991 Jaguar XJS is a refined expression of British luxury and
grand touring elegance. Introduced in the mid-1970s as a successor
to the legendary E-Type, the XJS evolved over the years into one of
Jaguar's most enduring models. By 1991, the car had received
significant updates that enhanced both its performance and comfort,
solidifying its reputation as a capable long-distance cruiser with
timeless style. Under the hood, buyers could choose between the
silky smooth 5.3-litre V-12 or the more efficient 4.0-litre
inline-six, both paired with automatic transmissions that
emphasized relaxed, effortless driving. The V-12 in particular made
the XJS one of the most powerful luxury coupes of its day,
providing an experience that was as much about refinement as speed.
Today, the 1991 Jaguar XJS is admired as a modern classic, offering
a blend of traditional British luxury with the charm of an era when
Jaguar was perfecting its role as a maker of grand touring
machines. A like-new example, this 1991 Jaguar XJS is presented
with a mere 2,356 miles from new and a clean CARFAX report.
Acquired new by The Dane Miller Estate Collection from Tom Wood
Jaguar, Mr. Miller purchased this example as a surprise birthday
gift for his wife, Mary Louise Miller. Rarely driven, this Jaguar
was mostly displayed and admired in their two-story
climate-controlled collection facility. To ensure Mary Louise
Miller's once birthday present was always ready to be enjoyed, this
Jaguar was sent to Dormen's Vintage Car Garage, Inc. in the summer
of 2020. Under their care, this XJS received a complete mechanical,
electrical, and fuel system servicing. Documented by invoice
records that total over $15,000 and a large file of photos during
the process, some of the major work entailed dropping the rear
independent suspension to work on the differential and suspension
components, rebuilding both the front and rear brake calipers,
removing, cleaning, and calibrating all twelve fuel-injectors, and
completely going through the fuel system components and hoses. A
full list of items addressed can be found on Kruse Auctions'
website or at the Document Station during the sale. This Jaguar is
finished in its original factory Arctic Blue with a navy-blue soft
convertible top and attractive XJS wire wheels. Offered with a mere
2,356 miles showing on the odometer and cherished in the Collection
since new, this example has been properly maintained ensuring its
lasting V-12 British legacy. * Purchased new by Dane Miller as a
