*1966 Ford Mustang Fastback A-Code*When the Ford Mustang debuted in
April of 1964, immediately it became one of the most impactful cars
of the 20th century. No longer did you need to be wealthy to drive
something with style, performance and the ability to build it how
you wanted from the factory. Although the notchback and convertible
variants are both nice, what people really seek is a Fastback -
just like this 1966 example.Finished in stunning Candy Apple red
over a red Pony vinyl interior, what sets this Mustang apart is the
fact that it has been under single family ownership from new. The
consignor purchased the car from the estate of their aunt who
purchased the car new in California. Currently showing 14,106 miles
on the odometer, it is believed that the miles have "rolled-over"
once, making this a 114,106 mile car. The beautiful red paint is
believed to be original, and the car includes copious paperwork
including original purchase forms, invoices, warranty tags and
owner's manual. The red Pony vinyl interior is believed to be
original and presents exceptionally well given that. With bucket
seats up front and a rear bench, the interior is the perfect blend
of 1960s space age - using lots of pieces of brushed and polished
metal- along with classic wood grain trim on the steering wheel rim
and dashboard.Under the hood sits Ford's famed 289ci V8 in "A-Code"
trim. This means the engine is topped by a 4bbl carburetor and
produces a claimed 225 horsepower and 305 lb-ft of torque. From the
factory, the A-Code cars were built with 10:1 compression and
hydraulic lifters making them one of the highest performing 289s of
the era. In this example, it runs through a 3-speed automatic to
the rear wheels. These early Mustangs represent the ultimate in
1960s transportation and remain one of the most sought after
classic cars out there. A favorite of nearly everyone on the road,
finding a classic Mustang with pedigree like this is becoming
nearly impossible. If you want an honest, well documented Mustang,
look no further.*Key Features* * Single Family Ownership Since New
