INTRODUCTION: Extremely rare and desirable! Not only is it a
factory air conditioned coupe, but it's also repainted in its
original Laguna Blue color with a factory black leather interior.
The site exhaust and knock off wheels make it even that much
better! A fun fact: this was the 398th 1966 Corvette built, made on
the 4th day of production.
EXTERIOR: The color on this Corvette is phenomenal. Not only is it
beautiful, it's a rare, one year only Laguna Blue that you just
don't see often. The body is straight and clean, and the car
presents exceptionally well. The doors shut with a solid, like new
feel, and the headlight doors fit properly and function as they
should. The Laguna Blue has a smooth, glossy finish that really
stands out. The chrome bumpers, taillights, emblems, door handles,
stainless moldings, grille and gas cap sparkle like new. It also
features the correct bowtie mirror and a working power antenna. The
side exhaust gives it an aggressive look, and the sound when you're
shifting through the gears is music to the ears. It's sitting on a
brand new set of knock off wheels, just installed, wrapped in
radial white stripe tires that complete the look perfectly.
INTERIOR: I'm sitting in this Corvette and I absolutely love it! My
favorite part is the black glove soft leather upholstery wrapped
around the firm cushions. Down on the floor is fresh carpet front
to back, complete with embroidered mats. Overhead, the headliner,
trim, visors, and mirror are all in excellent condition, and the
dome light works. The dash area is mint- the pads and glove box
door have been replaced, and all the instruments are clean and
functional, including a quartzupdated clock. It also features an
updated stereo neatly fitted in the factory location. The console
looks like new and houses the correct style reverse lockout
shifter. Even the armrest cushion is leather, and the seat belts
are in place. The steering wheel is mint, and it's equipped with
factory air conditioning controls and vents, adding comfort to an
already impressive interior.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: This Corvette is powered by its original, #s
matching 327 producing 300 horsepower. It runs smooth and strong,
and having the original engine is exactly what collectors want.
It's equipped with stock manifolds and is nicely dressed up with
finned aluminum valve covers and a chrome breather for a clean,
classic look. What really sets it apart is the factory air
conditioning- an uncommon and highly desirable feature that adds
real comfort and value. The engine compartment is well maintained,
clean, and shows nicely.
UNDERSIDE: It is very respectable with a clean, solid frame. It
retains its independent suspension, which has been properly
maintained. It also features disc brakes at all four wheels that
are working as they should, and the e-brake is hooked up. Looking
up at the drivetrain, the engine is clean and equipped with a stock
starter. It has its VIN # matching original Muncie 4-speed trans,
and out back is the original date coded 3.36 posi rear end. The
fiberglass floors are in good condition, and it even retains the
spare tire carrier.
SERVICE: We take pride in our cars and reputation. Therefore, we
built a 2 million dollar, 10,000 square ft service center, and
hired a team of technicians to service the essentials on every car
we sell.
CONCLUSION: I can't stop looking at this car! The coupe design,
side pipes, and knock-off wheels are awesome then the Laguna Blue
takes it to another level. Add in factory air conditioning and a #s
matching drivetrain, and it is an investment that will also be a
pleasure to own!
