1975 Bricklin SV-1
Having traveled just 1,050 miles from new this amazing time capsule
Bricklin is exactly as the factory built it in 1975. We received
this car on the original MSO so technically we are the first
owners! It is estimated today that less then 1700 of the original
3000 Bricklin's produced are still with us in the auto world.
Powered by the desireable 351 Ford V8, this "Safety Orange" SV1 is
a consummate example of the word survivor. Backed by an automatic
transmission and equipped with factory air-conditioning we believe
this to be a perfect collection car. Front disc brakes, tilt wheel,
hydraulic powered gullwing doors and vacuum headlights and "color
impregnated acrylic resin body panels" were all the work of the
car's designer- Malcom Bricklin.
This particular car is a time warp- its still even riding on its
original tires. We have chosen to do a light service including a
visual inspection, an oil change and a general once over. The next
caretaker will be able to decide what direction they would like to
go with this car: perhaps new tires and some mechanical maintenance
to be a driver or leave it just as it sits as a testament to
history. We have driven the car just a couple of miles for
photography.
We believe this in an investment quality example.
