Sunnyside Chevrolet of Elyria, Ohio in conjunction with Greg's
Sports, Classic, & Muscle is proud to offer for sale this beautiful
1970 Corvette LT1
Yep, one of just 1287 LT1 Corvettes produced by Chevrolet in 1970.
Yep, its numbers matching with its ORIGINAL ENGINE. We don't say
so, the noted Corvette numbers guru Al Grenning says so. Yep, the
close ration 4-speed transmission is original. Yep, the one repaint
Daytona Yellow is very nice quality. This is not another kinda
close Corvette- it's the real deal and with and engine that ranked
in the top few of horsepower rankings EVER for small block vetts.
This 1970 LT1 made 370 horsepower from a 350 cubic in block. Wow.
This is an INVESTMENT GRADE car.
In 2017 this car sold at auction as a one owner, 50k original mile
car. A noted Corvette collector purchased it and then resold it to
the next caretaker who had it for 7 years or so. That owner had the
car repainted in its original shade of Daytona Yellow and did a
very light refresh on a very original car. The paint is very nice,
lays very flat and presents extremely nicely save for a couple of
very small imperfections. The car then went to a collector's care
in the Phoenix area and we purchased the car from him. We have no
doubts that this is exactly as it appears to be, a well-cared for
51,084-mile car that is both rare and coveted. This is not a ground
up restoration but rather a very honest car that's had some light
cosmetics. It drives exactly as you would expect a low mileage
original to drive.
We have some nice documentation, the original Protectoplate,
original owner's manual, an NCRS Shipping Data report and a window
sticker.
At this point we can skip the discussion about how many ORIGINAL
ENGINE 1970 Corvettes are left- how many were wrecked in the first
few years? How many were blown up? How many in the market today are
restamped or fakes? Our belief is that this car is in rarified air.
Check out the Hagerty Valuation guides, we have this car priced
very aggressively.
Drive it, show it, keep it in a bubble and polish it as a prized
possession, the choice is yours once you make it yours.
We stand behind our thoughts on this car by offering our travel
expenses guarantee- come see the car and if we have materially
misrepresented its condition we will gladly pay half of your travel
expenses up to $500.00- this offer had been in place since we sold
our first classic and we haven't paid the money yet.... We pride
ourselves on having good cars and representing them properly.
