1940 CHEVROLET COUPE T-1402 The sound of the quality-built engine,
the iconic classic design lines, the bold stance and the glistening
paint with artful flames, all combine to make you smile and
immediately get the attention of anyone nearby. This 1940 Chevrolet
2 door coupe is a final product of a frame-off build, using quality
components. Starting with a solid original all steel 1940 Chevrolet
2 door coupe, the complete disassembly and preparation began. The
original chassis was likewise fully refreshed, updated,
strengthened and painted. The now perfect body was painted in
glistening white, using Mercedes Benz single-stage Glassmaxx paint.
Highlighting the exterior is artful blue flames. The underside of
the body has been undercoated for protection and sound suppression.
The coupe is powered by a 350ci Chevrolet engine, using quality
components. The engine is dressed with an array of chrome goodies
for that eye appeal. The engine is mated to a 350 automatic
transmission. A custom dash with a full array of VDO gauges
positioned in a custom full width aluminum insert keeps a good eye
on the motor. A Lecarra steering wheel tops the tilt steering
column. The split front bench seat finished in two-tone grays with
fold down center arm rest is comfortable for those long cruises. It
even has a full back seat for the little ones. Polished billet
window cranks and door handles were installed. Finishing the
interior is Vintage Air AC/heat and a Panasonic CQ-C1101U 50watt
sound system neatly installed below the dash. The original style V
windshield as well as all glass and rubber are excellent. Exterior
chrome front and rear bumpers, grill and trims are brilliant
quality. The exterior door handles have been color matched painted.
The spacious trunk is finished and includes a spare tire, jack and
storage. A custom soft car cover protects the car. The exterior
stance is finished with polished American Racing wheels mounted
with Goodyear 215/70/R15 rear and P195/65/R15 front tires. Rear
drum and front disc brakes make for reliable smooth stopping. This
gentleman's hot rod is designed and built for smooth street and
freeway driving and would be a great addition to your garage. ***If
