This 1963 Ford F100 Unibody is the kind of build that immediately
tells you somebody went all in. The finish, stance, panel work,
interior, and sheer detail throughout show this is far more than
just an old pickup with fresh paint. It is a deeply engineered,
professionally built resto-mod that blends custom craftsmanship
with serious performance hardware and standout presentation.
Finished in Nissan Imperial Orange, this truck has a rich,
high-impact look that works perfectly with the clean, shaved body
lines and the unmistakable shape of the F100 unibody. The stance is
low, aggressive, and modern, while the tucked bumpers, smoothed
bodywork, custom bed wood, and tailored interior give it a refined
show-truck feel. And based on the documentation shown in the
photos, this build was developed over many years with extensive
work completed by multiple specialty shops and craftsmen.

Exterior
The body on this F100 has been heavily refined for a cleaner, more
custom look. The documentation shown in the photos notes shaved
drip rails, a filled cowl vent, flattened and smoothed firewall,
filled body seams, smoothed dash, filled fuel filler hole,
removed/fill stake pockets, and removal of mirror mount holes and
badging. The result is a much sleeker truck that lets the unibody
lines do all the talking. The Nissan Imperial Orange finish has
excellent depth and really comes alive under the lights. The
tailgate wears a custom painted FORD graphic, and the overall look
is simple, clean, and high-end without trying too hard.
Wheels & Stance
This truck sits exactly the way a serious custom F100 should. The
modern 5-spoke wheels fill the openings well and give the truck a
contemporary performance look without overpowering the classic
body. The low ride height, wide rear rubber, and tucked stance make
it look planted from every angle. Underneath, the suspension
hardware backs up the appearance with real engineering rather than
just looks.
Interior
The cabin is beautifully finished in a custom tan and body-color
theme that feels upscale and fully thought out. The truck features
a custom bench-style seat with a fold-down center console and
cupholders, sculpted door panels, matching carpet, and a body-color
dash. The gauge cluster is updated with Haneline gauges, and the
truck uses a Flaming River polished stainless tilt steering column
along with a custom steering wheel. The build sheet in the photos
also notes RodDoors leather and upholstery panels, Custom
Upholstery of Houston seat work, Lokar pedals, Pioneer stereo,
power windows, and Vintage Air A/C-heat-defrost. It is a custom
interior, but it still fits the personality of the truck.
Engine & Drivetrain
Power comes from a rebuilt 1970 Ford 351 Cleveland, and the spec
sheets shown in the binder indicate a very serious parts list.
Highlights include:
bored .040 over
new Milodon main caps
Manley pistons
Childs & Alberts rings
Lunati connecting rods
Comp Cams cam, pushrods, roller rockers, roller lifters, and
springs
Edelbrock Performer RPM 351-C aluminum heads, ported to the
intake
Moroso oil pump
Weiand polished high-volume water pump
Streetdamper fluid harmonic damper
Sanderson ceramic-coated headers
custom polished stainless exhaust
MSD distributor and 6AL ignition
Mitsubishi high-torque starter
Feeding that Cleveland is a standout induction setup with a Weiand
Hi-Ram / tunnel ram dual-quad intake and FiTech Go EFI 2x4
self-tuning fuel injection system, combining old-school visual
drama with improved drivability. Backing it is a 1970 Ford C6
automatic with a B&M shift kit, along with a TCI Streetfighter
torque converter rated at 3,200 RPM stall. It is exactly the kind
of drivetrain you want in a truck built to look this serious.
Suspension & Brakes
The suspension and brake package is one of the strongest parts of
this build. Up front, the binder notes a Mustang II setup with
Fatman coilovers, GM power rack and pinion steering, and front GM
disc brakes. Out back, it uses a 9-inch rear with 3.55 gears and
Detroit Locker, 31-spline Dutchman axles, Fatman four-bar parallel
link with panhard bar, Carrera coilovers, and Ford Explorer rear
disc brakes. There is also documentation of custom stainless brake
lines, a Master Power Brakes booster, and a Corvette-style dual
master cylinder with proportioning valve. This is the type of
undercarriage that turns a vintage truck into something that can
actually be enjoyed on the road.
Fuel, Cooling & Wiring
The build details shown also call out a custom polished stainless
Rock Valley fuel tank mounted between the rails, FiTech electric
fuel pump, stainless fuel lines, a custom aluminum radiator with
shroud and electric fan by Be Cool, and a Painless motor, dash, and
body wiring harness with fuse block. These are smart, high-quality
upgrades that make a big difference in the overall usability and
reliability of a custom build.
The Bed & Undercarriage
The bed is a standout feature on its own, with a beautifully
finished custom wood floor accented by polished strips and a
lift-up section revealing the fuel tank and chassis hardware
underneath. The undercarriage photos show a truck that was built
with presentation in mind, not just top-side cosmetics. The rear
suspension layout, exhaust routing, and overall finish underneath
reinforce that this was a serious long-term project.
The Drive
This F100 looks like a showpiece, but the hardware says it was
built to be driven. With a healthy Cleveland, C6 automatic,
performance converter, modern EFI, rack-and-pinion steering,
four-wheel discs, and an extensively upgraded suspension, this
truck should offer a far different experience than a stock unibody
Ford. It has the visual impact to command attention anywhere it
goes, but also the right ingredients to make it genuinely enjoyable
behind the wheel.
