The Ferrari 360 Modena was not just a new car when it debuted at
the 1999 Geneva Motor Show. It was a statement. Ferrari replaced
the beloved F355 with something lighter, stiffer, faster, and built
entirely from aluminum, a first for any Ferrari road car.
Pininfarina designed the body from scratch, and Autocar magazine
named it the world's best sports car in its Road Test Yearbook.
More than 25 years later that assessment still holds up. This one
is finished in Rosso Corsa with Cuoio tan leather inside, one of
the most timeless color combinations you can put on a Ferrari.
Under that rear glass sits the 3.6 liter V8, revving to 8,500 rpm
and pushing 400 horsepower to the rear wheels through a gated six
speed manual transmission. The gated manual is the transmission
most enthusiasts consider the definitive way to experience the 360.
Of the 1,810 Modenas built for the US market, only 469 came with
the gated manual. This one received a fresh manual transmission
swap in April 2025, so it is sorted and ready. Sport mode, 15mm
wheel spacers, and black painted 430 wheels give it a purposeful
stance that backs up the noise it makes.
Inside, the Cuoio leather is rich and well kept. A flip-up Pioneer
touchscreen with Apple CarPlay has been integrated cleanly, giving
you modern connectivity without butchering the cabin. All weather
mats keep the floors protected. Morimoto LED taillights give the
rear end a sharper, more modern look while keeping the classic
four-circle layout Ferrari is known for.
The 360 Modena was the last Ferrari to offer a traditional gated
manual shifter as a standard option, the kind where you can hear
and feel each gear click into place. Ferrari moved away from that
with the F430 and has never looked back. That makes low-mileage,
well-documented examples with the gated manual increasingly
desirable, and this one comes with lots of service records to back
up its history.
Rosso Corsa, gated manual, documented service history. This is the
one.
