The car comes with a wealth of original documents from when the car was sold new. The original window is still with the car as well as the original owner's manual, Operating Guide, Warranty Information Booklet, Ford Electronic Sound Systems Operating Guide, Convertible Top Instructions, and a couple of the tags that would have hung in the car while it was on the showroom floor.

Exterior

The Vermillion Bright Red (EP) exterior is in wonderful condition. We believe this Mustang to have original paint, we have seen no paint lines, no overspray, or any other evidence of paintwork. As one can see in the photos the finish has a terrific gloss, deep shine, and smooth finish. The moldings/trim throughout are in amazing shape and do not show their age like most Fox bodies. The original wheels are in great condition with no curb rash. The tires are correctly sized 215/60R15. Please note that these are not aftermarket wheels, these are the original OEM wheels. The white convertible top is in nice condition overall with no holes or frayed edges. It still has the correct glass rear window. We believe the top to also be original. There is some discoloration on the right rear of the top and some wear on the left rear of the top. This Mustang has no rust issues. As one can see in the many photos of the underside of the car, it is very clean underneath. We have included specific photos of the rear spring mounts, rockers, lower quarter panels, and the area's most prone to rust to show how nice this car looks.

Interior

The White Leather and Scarlet Red (CN) interior in this Mustang is in outstanding condition. The gauge faces are crisp and clean and the lenses are crystal clear. The leather seats look just as nice in person as they do in the photos with no stains, holes, or split seams. The seat is not overly worn in the typical area on the bolster where the driver gets in and out; this is just a tiny amount of wear there. Please note that these appear to be the original seats and covers, not some cheap aftermarket covers or replacements. The carpet is also original and in great condition with no stains, holes, or tears. The original radio works and gets good reception. Most importantly, the dash has never been cut or modified for an aftermarket installation. The door panels are in great shape and the door pulls are solid and intact. The dash and console are in great condition with no cracks, fading, or sun damage. This Mustang has never been smoked in; there are no burn marks and no aroma of cigarettes.

The trunk is clean and nicely detailed. It is also complete with the jack, jack handle, and the original space saver spare. The convertible top boot is still with the car, but we have never tried to install it.

Mustang interiors from this era are not known to wear well, especially for a convertible and especially for light color like white. The excellent condition of this original interior is a huge testament to the meticulous care and attention this car has received throughout its life and another great verification of the very low original mileage.

Mechanical

This Mustang seems to be in superb mechanical condition. As stated above, I have driven this car over 20 miles with no problems at all. The car starts right away every time, runs well, and idles smoothly. It drives great and feels nice on the road and at highway speeds. In the video in this ad one can observe the car accelerating on the highway up to about 70mph, shifting through all the gears, braking to stoplight, and going through some curves. Please note that there are no vibrations or strange noises and the car performs quite well overall. The brakes do not pull to one side or the other. The transmission shifts smoothly. There is no blue smoke when starting or driving the car. The car runs cool and does not overheat. Also, the engine compartment is beautifully clean, detailed, and correct as one can see in the photos.

The horn works as do all the exterior lights, interior lights, dash lights, indicator, wipers, power windows, and power locks. All of the gauges work. Even detailed items like the hood light, trunk light, and glove box light still work. The blower for the heater and a/c works on all speeds. The air conditioning itself works and blows cold. There are no "check engine" or other warning lights that stay on. The power convertible top also works well with no effort or binding in the mechanism; the complete operation of the top can be seen in the video. Not enough can be said as to how much of a pleasure it is to drive this car, especially with the top down on a beautiful day.

Overall Condition

Overall, this 1990 Mustang LX is in spectacular original condition. The beautiful original color combination, the very low mileage, and the excellent overall condition make this car especially important and hard to duplicate. It is very difficult to find a Fox body like this that has is totally stock and never modified. It is exceptionally harder to find one with such low mileage. This Mustang always gets a ton of attention driving down the road. It is apparent that the vehicle has been well taken care of by its previous owners.
