CONDITION
This 1978 Pontiac Trans Am is a beautifully maintained 3-owner
example finished in rare Martinique Blue with a blue interior and
the iconic hood bird graphic. Originally from Texas, it retains its
original quarter panels and presents very well overall. The paint,
engine, and transmission were redone in 2000, with the motor
removed during the repaint, and the engine and transmission were
rebuilt at the same time. The chassis and odometer show 100,888
miles, while approximately 10,000 miles have been put on the engine
since the rebuild. Equipped with factory air conditioning converted
to R134, T-Tops, power options, a retro radio, and a Pontiac
10-disc CD changer in the glove box, this Trans Am offers a strong
mix of originality and drivability. The interior is very nice with
no rips, the headliner is in nice shape, and the dash is mint. The
gauge lights work perfectly. The body shows very well overall, with
only two small bubbles noted: one about the size of a thumb and
another on the door about the size of a pinky. Matching numbers
cannot be guaranteed, as there are no identifying numbers on the
block after the rebuild, though it is possible. Overall, this is a
strong-running, well-kept Trans Am that has not been driven much in
recent years.
