INTRODUCTION: The color is what first grabbed my attention on this
classic Mustang fastback and it only gets better from there. Once I
learned it had been thoroughly gone through and dialed in by a
Mustang specialist, I was truly impressed. With power steering and
power disc brakes, it's not only gorgeous to look at- it's an
absolute pleasure to drive!
EXTERIOR: Absolutely beautiful 1965 Mustang 2+2 Fastback finished
in its very attractive factory Silver Blue. The body is clean,
straight, and fits exceptionally well, with what appears to be
original body panels. The paint has a rich metallic glow, and the
clear coat is slick and glossy, it looks like you could reach right
into it. Most of the chrome and trim appears to have been replaced
and it really sparkles. It's detailed with the correct antenna,
dual mirrors, the running pony in the grille, and proper fender
emblems. The windshield and weatherstrips have also been replaced.
It's sitting just right on a set of beautiful chrome 14 inch GT
wheels wrapped in Hankook radial tires. Out back, the GT-style
exhaust exits through the rear valance, giving it that classic
performance look.
INTERIOR: I'm sitting in a beautiful blue interior, and it presents
exceptionally well. The seats have been reupholstered, and the door
panels and armrests have all been replaced. Even the small details
like the window cranks and handles look new. The dash pad,
instrument bezel, and glove box door have all been replaced, giving
the dash a fresh, crisp appearance. It features a new Rally-Pac
mounted on the steering column with a tachometer and a working
clock. A Shelby style steering wheel adds a sporty upgrade, and
there's a retro stereo neatly installed in the factory location.
Inside the glove box is a new liner with an owner's manual. Down
below, the carpet is fresh and fitted with pony floor mats,
complemented by a set of blue seat belts. It also has the desirable
2+2 fold-down rear seating, all in excellent condition.bOverhead,
the headliner and visors are in great shape, and the interior
lighting works throughout. Overall, it's a clean, tidy interior
that's been very well cared for.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Very well sorted and clean! The heart of it is
a correct 289 motor topped with a dual feed 4-barrel carb. It's
dressed up nicely with chrome valve covers and air cleaner, giving
it a sharp, detailed look. The distributor appears new, and the
engine runs smooth and strong. It's been upgraded with Borgeson
power steering, making it a pleasure to drive, along with an
upgraded power brake system featuring a dual reservoir master
cylinder for added safety. The engine bay is neatly finished in
semi-gloss black, while the underside of the hood is painted glossy
to match the exterior. It also features a Monte Carlo support bar
for added rigidity. Details like Motorcraft spark plug wires,
proper hoses, and a battery disconnect switch show the care put
into this car.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Under the trunk lid and jamb are painted very
neatly, showing the same attention to detail as the rest of the
car. The latch assembly and weatherstrip appear new, giving it a
fresh, well-finished look. Inside features the factory access door
to the interior, along with a matched trunk mat and a fitted cover
over the spare. Everything looks tidy and well cared for.
UNDERSIDE: This Mustang has been thoroughly rebuilt with all major
components either restored or replaced. The floors are solid metal,
finished in a semi-gloss black. The steering and suspension have
been completely rebuilt and are nicely detailed, now benefiting
from upgraded sway bars and gas shocks. It features a GT-style
exhaust system with a crossover pipe and correct tips exiting
through the valance. The brake system has been fully redone and
upgraded with front disc brakes, and the e-brake is properly hooked
up. The fuel system has been replaced, including the tank and
sending unit. Looking up at the engine, it's clean and is even
sporting a Motorcraft oil filter. The C4 automatic transmission
functions as it should and presents fresh on the outside. The
driveshaft and rear end are also clean, properly detailed, and
operating as they should.
SERVICE: We take pride in our cars and reputation. Therefore, we
built a 2 million dollar, 10,000 square ft service center, and
hired a team of technicians to service the essentials on every car
we sell.
CONCLUSION: Here's your opportunity to buy a classic Mustang with
confidence! It is turnkey and ready to drive. The only question is,
where are you headed first... a car show or ice cream?
