This authentic Burnished Brown 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 with original matching-numbers engine and rear end was restored to high show quality standards. It was certified as authentic by expert Jerry MacNeish of Camaro High Performance on July 11th, 2012. A total of 20,302 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 models were produced in 1969. Only 2.3% of all Camaros produced in 1969 were painted Burnished Brown making a genuine matching-numbers Z28 in this color a prized collector's item. As the original factory VIN Tag and original factory X coded Cowl Tag indicate this example was built in Norwood, Ohio on the 3rd week of September in 1969. It was ordered with a (61-61) - Burnished Brown exterior and (727) - Ivory and black interior. It was also ordered with the following options: (D55) - center console, (D80)- spoiler equipment, (G80)- positract rear axle, (J52)-disc brakes, (U17)- gauge package, (U63)-AM radio, (Z23)-special interior group, (ZL2)-special ducted hood and (Z28)-special engine performance package. This car also retains the original factory hidden VIN stamp in the cowl area. It has been with only three owners over the last 31 years and off the market. It was the product of a rotisserie nut and bolt restoration. It retains a lot of original sheet metal and parts throughout. It was correctly restored to show quality standards. It was judged at the American Camaro Association Nationals twice where it scored 955 points in the Bow Tie Class and 981 points in the Trailered Restored Camaro Class. The original owner's manual, ownership history, restoration photos and judging sheets are included. The straight body has very good fitment and was refinished in the color of Burnished Brown with white stripes. The original Ivory and Black interior was lightly restored and still retains a lot of originality. As example, the gauges, console and door panels are original. The highly detailed engine compartment is home to the original factory matching-numbers 302 V8 engine that was factory rated with 290 horsepower. It's equipped with many date coded parts including the intake manifold and carburetor which were restored by Jerry MacNeish. The engine breathes through a Gardner exhaust system. The engine is coupled to a Muncie 4-speed transmission with correct “660” case and P9B05B assembly date. The power is transmission to the original factory matching-numbers 3.73 ratio positract rear axle. The undercarriage is also highly detailed throughout. This vehicle has been completely serviced and detailed which is documented with an invoice. From the MS CLASSIC CARS Collection.
