The first generation Hudson Hornet was produced by the Hudson Motor
Car Company from 1951 through 1954 and was Hudson's most luxurious
model. It offered outstanding performance and exceptional handling
for its time.
Professional Restoration-
This beautiful Hudson Hornet was the recipient of a full
restoration (2015) and is a handsome example of the full-size
classic. The exterior was carefully refinished in Citrus Fire
Metallic that is in excellent condition. Beautiful chrome and
stainless accents include the unique 'triangle' hood ornament,
classic '50s chrome grill, fender skirts and 15" factory rims
w/full wheel covers and wide-white radials. The refined interior
centers around handsome Maroon leather upholstery and a stately
dash that holds a full set of working factory gauges. The stunning
wheel is a work of art, the factory AM radio works perfectly and a
power-assisted convertible top performs flawlessly.
Hudson 6-Cylinder Power with Hydramatic Transmission-
The Hornet is powered by the 308ci six-cylinder engine that was
well known for durability and low-end torque. At 308ci, this
flathead was the largest displacement six-cylinder engine used in
mass-production cars at the time. The engine of this Hornet is said
to have been totally rebuilt, starts easily and sounds great.
Everything under the hood looks virtually original including a
factory 6-volt positive-ground electrical system. It is backed by a
4-speed Hydramatic transmission and stopping power is provided by
four-wheel hydraulic drum brakes. This stunning Hudson Hornet
rag-top needs only you to be on center stage at the next car show
or holiday parade.
