LSX-based V-8 engine built on a GM Performance Parts LSX cast-iron
block with a 4.065-inch bore and equipped with a Whipple W175FF
2.9-liter intercooled supercharger, paired with an automatic
transmission and four-wheel drive. The engine incorporates GM LS
smooth cast-aluminum valve covers with integrated coil mounts, an
LS front timing cover, rear cover and oil pan alignment upgrades,
an IWIS timing chain set and camshaft thrust retainer plate, a
stainless LS header stud kit, a Melling LS oil pickup tube retainer
support bracket and ARP Pro Series cylinder head studs with an ARP
main stud kit. The rotating assembly, documented by Texas Speed and
Performance, includes a balanced LS3/LSA/LSX-based 416/418ci
configuration with a Callies Compstar crankshaft, Diamond Racing
forged pistons, upgraded bearings and supporting components.
Additional supporting hardware includes upgraded gaskets, timing
components and oiling system enhancements. It's finished in silver
