INTRODUCTION: Stunning looks! Only 1,100 miles on a frame off
custom build. This truck has two binders with all the detailed
specs and information from paint formula and wiring schematic to
what brake pads and spark plugs it uses.
EXTERIOR: The color, stance and wheels gets this truck noticed. All
metal body and fenders. It is straight, I did not find any damage
or rust in my inspection. It looks like it was dipped in red nail
polish with a smooth glossy bright red finish. The vent windows
were removed for a cleaner look. All the glass and gaskets were
replaced. Newport Speed electric wiper system. It has deluxe chrome
trim around the door windows. The emblems, handles, mirrors and
rear bumper look new. It has Chevrolet step plates on the running
boards. LED tailights in back. It is lowered and sitting on a big
set of chrome Coys wheels wrapped in performance tires.
INTERIOR: It was gutted and painted red. It went back together with
a 20 circuit Summit Racing fuse box. It also has a 1936 Chevy cabin
heater with defrost. The door panels and headliner were replaced.
Seat was reupholstered, carpet put on the floor. It also has Lokar
shifter and chrome e-brake handle on the floor. Behind the tilt
wheel is a set of white face gauges.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Open the hood and it looks good! It has a
reliable GM crate 350 motor making 290 horsepower. On top is an
Edelbrock Performer intake and Edelbrock carb with electric choke.
It runs cool with an aluminum radiator and electric fan. The engine
bay is painted really nice. It features power brakes and chrome
alternator. Very tidy installation.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: The bed floor was raised to accommodate the
lowered suspension. It has refinished black boards, metal strips,
and chrome hardware. The fuel filler is relocated to the floor. The
battery is also relocated to the bed. There is a vintage cooler.
The sidewalks are gloss red.
UNDERSIDE: The frame was removed and upgraded with an S10 frame.
Rebuilt independent front suspension with Unisteer rack & pinion
steering. It has disc brakes in front, drum in back and the e-brake
assembly is hooked up. Relocated is 16 gallon fuel tank. Dual
exhaust with Thrush mufflers. Looking up at the motor and starter
they still look new. Upgraded 700R4 overdrive automatic trans with
a TCI converter. 10 bolt rear end with 3.73 gears. Rust free floors
were painted red chip guard.
SERVICE: We inspected this truck and adjusted the shift cable,
replaced the temp sending unit, replaced the door lock cylinders
and lubed the driver's door latch.
CONCLUSION: This is one good looking truck. It will get as much
attention as trucks costing twice as much. Comfortable, simple
driver ready to enjoy.
