This 1980 Porsche 911SC Weissach Coupe is one of 400 examples
produced for the U.S. market. Named after Porsche's research and
development center in Weissach, Germany, the special-edition model
was offered in Platinum Metallic (X6) or Black Metallic and came
equipped with a front chin spoiler, whale-tail rear spoiler,
powered and heated side mirrors, power antenna, fog lights, and a
sunroof. This particular car is finished in Platinum Metallic over
Doric Grey leather with red accents and is powered by a 3.0-liter
flat-six paired with a five-speed manual transaxle. It is said to
have been registered in Kansas, Georgia, and Florida prior to its
acquisition by the current owner in 2024. Exterior features include
16? Fuchs alloy wheels, a Dansk rear muffler, European-style Bosch
H4 headlights with body-color bezels, headlight washers, a sunroof,
fog lights, and a whale-tail rear spoiler. The power antenna was
replaced in December 2022, and some paint loss is noted on the rear
decklid badge. Additional close-up images of the paint and trim
condition are provided in the gallery. The car rides on body-color
Fuchs 15? wheels with polished lips, mounted with 195/65 front and
215/60 rear Pirelli P6000 tires installed in August 2022. Braking
is handled by power-assisted four-wheel discs with ventilated
rotors, and Turbo-specification tie rods were fitted in July 2022.
Interior appointments include bucket seats trimmed in Doric Grey
leather with red piping, matching carpets, door panels, and
dashboard, along with power windows, cruise control, and black
Porsche-branded floor mats. Equipment further includes an alloy
shift knob, a Blaupunkt Skagen 400 DAB stereo, and a MOMO Prototipo
three-spoke steering wheel. The air conditioning system is
currently inoperative. Instrumentation consists of an 85-mph
speedometer, central tachometer with a 6,300-rpm redline, a clock,
and gauges for oil level, oil temperature, oil pressure, and fuel
level. The six-digit odometer shows 75k miles, with approximately
300 added under current ownership. Mechanical details: The
3.0-liter flat-six with Bosch fuel injection was factory rated at
172 horsepower and 189 lb-ft of torque. Service in 2022 included
